This week we took some video’s of our sales horses in the school where we were working on tolt with Ingimar and a visitor tried out all three! Contact us for more info if you’re looking for a horse!

The two SRDP sessions with the A and B groups took place in January and were very successful – Thank you to all who took part and made it a fun weekend. We hope to see you and your horses again soon! See here for a few pictures.

It’s always fun to start the young horses and see how they progress. Mike has been working with Kaspar this winter and today Jemimah sat on him for the first time – he was totally unfazed (very much like his older brother and sister, Kjarval and Svala)!

Today the training and young horses were moved to pastures green, and were very happy about it too!

On the 28/29 November, we held a sport rider development programme weekend at Connegar Farm. There were 6 participants who brought their horses with them. The group discussed their horses and the ‘type’ of horse they believed they had which could help them focus their training and then they learnt all about some ways of training to utilise over the winter as well as ground work to use with their horses.

All riders were video’d so that they could take home the video to watch later. It was a very fun weekend with some great company, horses and riders – so Thank you all!

Dogun’s owner came to see Dogun ridden properly for the first time since she was started this weekend and got to have a go as well! Dogun is a little superstar!

This week we say goodbye to Fluga who will be going to a new home -but before she went, Jemimah got to ride her in the Trot in Harmony held at our farm. She did very well for a young horse and we hope that she gives lots of joy to the new rider!

Today we said goodbye to Reykur who’s been here for a few weeks training and ‘seeing the world’.

Jemimah’s mare, Blíða fra Eyri, has been sold to Sweden and will be ridden by a young rider. We are very sad to see Blíða go – she is a lovely mare with a fantastic temperament and great gaits but it is lovely to know that she will be enjoyed in the future.
