Jemimah has been in Sweden for almost a week now and has been working hard with Kraftur as well as other things! After training at Brosarpsgarden for two days, the group went to Margaretehof to practice some of their tests which was very beneficial. In between, she has also been helping in the stable, riding some horses, pulling ragwort and weeding and rode Blida on a long riding tour with the whole group! Mike should be arriving in Sweden by tomorrow evening and next week the harder training begins again before we leave for Herning!

  Jemimah is on her way to Sweden once again to prepare for the WCs in Denmark…. Michael will join her next week with Kafteinn and Hafeti!

We have had the pleasure of a visit from Aidan Carson over the last week and a half and he has been helping Andrew, around the farm and with the horses…Yesterday he got to try out Hafeti and Svala!

Over the last few days, Kjarval’s owner and a friend has been visiting Connegar Farm to ride Kjarval before she takes him home again. Today we tried him out on the track and he is great. It is lovely to see one of our horses doing so well and being enjoyed. We hope to see them all again soon!

Kraftur has left us to go back to Sweden and Jemimah will join him again in a couple of weeks time to prepare for the World Championships in Denmark!

  We are back home recovering after a great weekend at the British Championships where the horses behaved beautifully and did us proud. Mike and Kafteinn rode a lovely five gait test and qualified for the team to go to the World Championships. He also won the speed pace! Elizabeth rode Stapi in the T2, achieving a personal best and making the team qualification also! Andrew rode Hafeti in his first FIPO F1 and did a good job but some mistakes costed some marks. Jemimah and Draupnir did a great job in the T2, ending second in the final and Kraftur won the T1 and V1 having got a personal best mark for this year in the T1 final!

  Jemimah recently added another horse to the herd, Ingimar from Old Hills! He is a 10 year old gelding who will be trained on but at the moment is  getting to know the others!

  This weekend, Blida (who was trained by Jemimah) was ridden in a breeding show at Backome, Sweden by Magnus Skulason. She performed very well but narrowly missed first prize ending with an overall score of 7.93! We are very proud of her!

Today we had the pleasure of some more visitors to try out Icelandics! Nicola and her husband rode Odinn and Sokkull and discovered more about tolt!! It was a pleasure to meet them and we hope to see them in the near future – maybe with an Icelandic in tow!
