Fun and success at the September Show!

IMGP0803

Last weekend we took 6 horses to compete at the September show at Verwood; Andrew rode Hafeti in the F1 and T1, Elizabeth rode Stapi in the T2 and Jemimah rode Sokkull in the intermediate four gait, Draupnir in the V1 and T2, Kraftur in the T1 and V1 and finally Fjolnir (and his first show!) in the Intermediate four gait.

All horses performed well and did us proud, particularly Fjolnir who loaded perfectly and took to the oval track like he’d always done it!

Hafeti did a good program but unfortunately missed pace in the final and Sokkull, Draupnir and Kraftur won their classes!

Home from the World Championships, Herning!

t

We are home from the WC2015 held in Herning, Denmark with lots of good Team GB memories and pictures in our minds of amazing tolting horses! The horses have been resting since they got back and are all very happy. We had a great time at the WCs, Team GB was fun to be in and some of the team riders made some new records!

Mike and Kafteinn were looking good leading up to their competition but unfortunately lost a shoe in the F1 so didn’t do as well as hoped. Andrew had some issues with Hafeti in the F1 but managed to outdo himself on the pace test and speed pace, increasing his times as he went!

Jemimah and Kraftur did not do as well as hoped in the V1, however ending up somewhere in the middle of the field but the T1 went a little better and they managed to end in the top 20 in the seniors which was a personal goal. Kraftur also featured in the WC2015 programme and in adverts broadcast throughout the week!

We’d like to thank our grooms, Elizabeth, Aidan and Kirsty for their support and for keeping the stable and horses clean and tidy at all times! We’d also like to thank all the companies that supported us in the GB Team – NAF, Selwood Equine, Westgate EFI, KeyFlow, Horseplay, Bakkeholm and Casco. Their support made a huge difference.
