In the valley of the Blackmore Vale in Dorset lies Connegar Farm, located between Shaftesbury and Sturminster Newton. Here you will find around 180 acres of pasture which is grazed by cows, sheep and Icelandic Horses.
In the old cow sheds which have been transformed, there are 7 stables for training horses, a tack room, feed storage, a ‘school/teaching’ room with kitchen and bathroom facilities and a small tack shop. Outside there is 4/5 hard standing paddocks, a 250m oval track, a 65 x 23m indoor riding arena and a 250m pace track. In the indoor arena there is a round pen and a horse treadmill which has the ability to incline and speed up for trot work. Adjacent to the arena, there is a stable area for visiting horses.
We always try to put our horses first and like to use the Magnus Skulason method to work with our horses. On the website you can find out more about our farm and horses.
Visitors are always welcome!
